Honda has introduced a new business called Fastport, focused on developing urban delivery solutions.

The brand’s first product will be the eQuad, a compact electric quadricycle designed to travel on bike lanes and handle short-distance deliveries. With removable batteries that can be swapped in under 30 seconds and a modular chassis, the vehicle promises agility, convenience, and adaptability to different commercial needs.

The eQuad will be offered in two sizes and with two types of cargo compartments, capable of carrying up to 295 kg in the larger model and 145 kg in the smaller one. The top speed is approximately 19 km/h (about 12 mph), and the range can reach up to 37 km (about 23 miles), featuring electric pedal assistance and a regenerative braking system. In addition, the vehicle includes driver comfort features such as sun protection, ventilation, and a camera-based rearview mirror. Honda will also provide a complete platform for businesses, offering maintenance services, fleet management, and real-time data.

The official prototype launch will take place at the Eurobike show in Germany. Honda plans to begin deliveries at the end of 2025, with full-scale production starting in the summer of 2026 at a factory in the state of Ohio, USA.

The company is already in talks with major logistics firms in Europe and North America to test the eQuad, betting on a more efficient and sustainable future for urban deliveries.
